Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Area Inspection Written Statement of Action

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities governance and reporting structure

The local authority’s improvement work will start with children, young people and parents feeding into each area of improvement (Leadership and Governance, Co-production, Joint Commissioning and Education, Health and Care Plan Quality). Each area will progress via a working group which includes members from across the partnership, of which will be held accountable by the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Improvement Board (now the SEND Partnership Board).

Final decision making will be made by City of York Council and Yorkshire and Humber Health and Care Partnership executives and information will be shared at the Health and Well-being Board to ensure full partnership working and awareness of progress being made.
