Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Area Inspection Written Statement of Action

The Written Statement of Action was developed in response to the Local Area Ofsted Inspection that took place in 2019. The aim of the action plan was to outline the actions which must be taken in order to make progress in each of the areas of significant weakness that were identified in the inspection.

City of York Council and the Yorkshire and Health Care Partnership welcomed the opportunity to continually and jointly improve services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in York. You can read more about the work completed between 2019 and 2022 that lead to making sufficient progress in all 4 areas, identified in the re-visit inspection at the end of 2022.
