St Pauls Nursery Enhanced Resource Provision

This Offer includes:

  • a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) helpline for SENDCOs and Early Years practitioners to discuss general Special Educational Needs queries. Email: [email protected] with some suggested days and times that week and we'll call you back
  • a Menu of training courses for all Early Years practitioners - the menu of training that can be booked up to a year in advance
  • open days to see ‘St Paul’s In Action' which will take place on the first Monday of the month in term time. 1-hour slots for morning sessions. We can be flexible on days and times. To book email: [email protected]

Bespoke training is available through the Learning Support Hub. Complete the training or group learning support hub request form.

We're offering a menu of training options for schools to host from Autumn 2025.

Menu of training options that can be delivered face to face or online and in 30 minutes, 1-hour or 2-hour slots. They can be delivered in a range of formats and can be suitable for inclusion in staff or departmental meetings, as stand-alone presentations or in carousel or workshop format.

This year settings can book training up until the end of 2026. Expressions of interest via email: [email protected] sharing:

  • the training requested
  • the date preferences from Saturday 1 November 2025 to Monday 20 July 2026 - the more flexible the more likely we can meet
  • the preferred length of session
  • the likely audience (type and numbers)
  • any other details including if you're wanting this to be face-to-face or virtual

This will be allocated on a first come, first served basis in line with capacity.

Once format and time is agreed, the training will be opened to colleagues across the city if appropriate. This is a different offer to the bespoke training offer.

  • Using the Department for Education Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) assessment tool to identify needs in your setting
  • Planning personalised provision for children with identified needs
  • Writing successful ‘My success plans’
  • How to complete an Education, Health and Care needs assessment
  • What is an Enhanced Resource Provision Offer type provision in the early years – how does it work and where do you start?
  • Gathering pupil voice from non-speaking children
  • Inclusive early years environments – what do they look like?
  • Advice from early years SENCos on managing provision and staffing
  • Planning small scale interventions in Early Years
  • Using Wellcomm to meet needs of pupils with SEND
  • Using visuals in early years settings
  • How to include parents on the journey to school for a child with SEND
  • Social Communication differences and Anxiety in the Early Years
  • Social Communication differences and Managing transitions in the Early Years
  • Social Communication differences and Toileting in the Early Years
